5G, AI, Big Data, and Cloud are LG U+'s core business areas with great growth potential. LG U+ has been hiring leading researchers with Master's or Ph.D. degrees in these fields
while granting industry-academia scholarships to qualified R&D experts.
Researchers who graduated from a domestic university with Master's or Ph.D. degrees are recruited by paying a visit to a lab or creating an online job posting.

Fair Performance Appraisal and Reward

To manage the employees' performance and achieve the company's goals, LG U+ carries out the performance review once a year.
For a fair evaluation, leaders may take peer feedback into account.
A group of leaders gets together to discuss the evaluation results before deciding on the final performance rating.
If an employee wants to appeal, that person must go through the official procedure to be referred to the Talent Committee.

Employee Performance Appraisal Process

Constant feedback and coaching across different tasks - Goal Setting:Set the direction of the year and organizational and personal key performance indicators under discussion / Interim Performance Review: Discuss weaknesses or areas of improvement during the interim reviews (twice a year) / Peer Feedback:Take the peer feedbacks into account for a fair performance review / Final Performance Review:Complete the appraisal process / Performance Appraisal Comments:Give consultations or instructions concerning the performance review, Discuss grounds for evaluation and areas of improvement

Employee Health Management

LG U+ conducts a job stress level test annually to preemptively prevent the health disorders of its employees.
This test involves assessing eight factors, such as physical environment, job autonomy, and relationship.
All the employees follow a skeletal workforce while others are stationed at home to prevent COVID-19.
In particular, high-risk groups, such as pregnant women or employees with younger children to care for, can work 100% remotely from home.
