  • What should I do if I can't use the internet during usage?

    iPhone: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings or Transfer

  • I purchased eSIM (Data Only), can I top up for voice?

    Top-up is unavailable for eSIM (Data Only) product.
    You should purchase Data+Voice product again to use voice.

  • Can I purchase eSIM before visiting Korea?

    You can purchase it in advance, but it can be used in Korea only.
    You should start using it in Korea within the expiration date since you cannot use it after the period is expired.

  • [eSIM] What is an eSIM?

    eSIM stands for 'Embedded SIM' and it refers to the SIM that is built within the phone.
    Existing SIM can be removed from the device, but the eSIM is embedded in the phone permanently and user profiles are downloaded by mobile network providers to operate the eSIM.

  • [eSIM] What should I do if I am unable to use the service even though I have purchased the service?

    You can set up eSIM while the Internet is connected.

  • Can I use the eSIM on an Android phone?

    You can check if your device supports eSIM by following the steps below.

    The service may not be available for the devices purchased oustide of South Korea depending on network condition.
    (※ eSIM cannot be used on Google Pixel, OPPO devices.)

  • I would like to rent a portable Wi-Fi or mobile phone that can be used in South Korea.

    Once you arrive in South Korea, please visit the LG U+ customer center at Incheon/Gimpo/Gimhae Airport for immediate rent.
    If you book in advance online, you can enjoy discount benefits.

    Required documents for on-site renting: Identity card (passport), the credit card that has the same name shown on the passport
    Payment: Payments can be made using cash or credit card upon return.

  • Is it possible to rent without a passport or credit card?

    You must have a passport.
    Credit card: For the rental process, a credit, debit, or check card is required. When renting with a debit/check card, an advance payment of 200,000 KRW is required as a deposit. The deposit shall be refunded when the item is returned as expected.

  • Do I need to book in advance?

    You may use our service when you visit one of our LG U+ Customer Center on the day of arrival, with no prior reservation.
    However, you can enjoy various additional benefits when you book in advance, so we encourage you to book before you visit.

  • Is it possible to use your service even though the rental and return locations are different?

    Yes, it is possible. You may return the items to any one of the Incheon/Gimpo/Gimhae airports, even if it is not the one where you rented.

  • Are there any discounts for long-term use or group bookings?

    Feature Phone: You can use it for 33,000 KRW if using for 30+ days, and 55,000 KRW if using for 60+ days.
    Portable Wi-Fi: There are additional benefits for 15+/30+/60+ day usage - please query via our customer center for more details.

  • If I only need data, which product can I use?

    You could rent a portable Wi-Fi, or purchase a Data SIM or eSIM.
    While the portable Wi-Fi requires the payment to be settled upon return, the Data SIM or the eSIM do not need to be returned once it has been paid off upon purchase.

  • Which SIM should I buy? Data SIM? eSIM?

    Both the Data SIM and eSIM allow you to use data as well as phone/text service on your own phone in Korea.
    The Data SIM can be activated immediately at the airport, and the eSIM can be used immediately scanning the QR Code sent to you upon purchase without an additional activation procedure.
    However, please ensure that you check the eSIM compatibility before purchasing it.

  • I need to extend the usage period or do a voice top-up.

    The period extension charge for portable Wi-Fi is 4,400 KRW per day, 1,650 KRW for feature phones, and 5,500 KRW for smartphones.

  • Is it possible to do an identity verification using the purchase SIM?

    Identify verification cannot be done using the Data eSIM and voice topped-up Data SIM, but a simple text verification service that only uses the numbers is available.
    However, for data-only SIM, both the identity verification and text verification services are not available.

  • Up to how many SIMs can I purchase?

    Up to 3 SIMs may be purchased by each passport holder.
